Sherman House Gardens

Master Gardener Volunteers research, locate, install and care for plants  in keeping with the history of the home and gardens.  As MGV tours are conducted, plants are identified, labeled and discussed as to the use of the plant during the time period.   Maintaining the gardens throughout the growing season is also a part of the commitment to the Sherman House Garden volunteers.   The gardens have also been used for educational purposes in cooperation with the Fairfield County District Library.  In 2022, 103 hours of volunteer service was given to the Sherman House Garden effort by several Master Gardener volunteers.
