While many consider Fairfield County to be a largely rural county, our 148,000+ residents collectively own and maintain several thousand acres of lawn, garden, and landscape. County Extension staff respond annually to literally hundreds of requests for information relating to everything from properly fertilizing a lawn or garden, to keeping it weed and insect free. Helping to acquire a soil test and properly interpreting it and recommending a corrective course of action is something that we commonly do.
On any given day staff may be found responding to concerns regarding tree decline in the landscape, or raising poultry in the backyard. Ohio State University Extension is your front door to research based information regarding most anything that affects the daily lives of Ohio's residents.
Please feel free to contact our staff with your consumer or production horticulture questions!
