Hands: Use soap and warm water and scrub for a full 20 seconds. If soap and water are not available, you can use hand sanitizer made with 70% strength isopropyl alcohol. You can make your own hand sanitizer by mixing 2/3 cup of 70% isopropyl alcohol with ½ cup aloe vera gel. The rubbing alcohol is for killing germs and the aloe vera gel is to moisturize your hands.
NOTE: You do NOT need antibacterial products. COVID-19 is caused by a virus. The coronavirus is a spherical shape with spiky proteins attached to a membrane that protects the virus’ genetic material. Once the virus meets soap, this membrane dissolves, leaving behind a dysfunctional virus.
Surfaces: Disinfect hard surfaces with a solution of 1/3 cup bleach to 1 gallon of warm water. Distilled white vinegar is acetic acid and not strong enough to disinfect from Coronavirus. Important: NEVER mix ammonia with bleach. This starts a chemical reaction which produces a toxic gas that can be fatal if inhaled.
