Master Gardener Volunteer Training being planned for mid-March

Fairfield County will be co-hosting a Master Gardener training beginning March 21, 2018 with the Pickaway County Master Gardeners. The training will last for approximately 8 weeks and be held on Thursday’s beginning at 9 am until 4 pm. Cost for the training will be $140.00 which includes the manual and handout materials. Classes will be taught in Soils, Botany, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Fruits, Vegetables, Houseplants, Integrated Pest Management and much more. A volunteer commitment of 50 “give back” hours is required following completion of  training at a variety of Master Gardener Projects.  If you would like more information, please join us on Friday, February 22 at 1:30 p.m. at the Fairfield County Ag Center located at 831 College Avenue, Lancaster for an informational meeting about the OSU Extension Master Gardener Volunteer program.
