Cull cows make up 20% or more of the revenue for a cow-calf operation. Today cull cows are more valuable than ever before given limited supply. However many cull cows are discounted due to improper body condition, inadequate muscling, or other defects.
Join OSU Extension for a two-part program where we will evaluate live cows and follow them to the cooler and observe their carcasses in order to assess value and discuss available opportunities when marketing cows. We will also cover cull cow markets and the economics of adding value to cull animals.
Producers who attend both sessions will receive BQA Certification.
There is no cost to attend, registration is required. Refreshments and Program sponsored by the Fairfield County Cattlemen Register at: go.osu.edu/fairfieldbqa
Please register by August 6, 2025.
