Enjoy a hands-on jam making workshop, plus learn more about basic home food preservation using the water bath canning method. Discover that water bath canning is safe for acidic foods such as fruits and tomatoes.
Participants will make strawberry jam. In addition, safe use of the water bath canning method will be taught. All equipment will be provided . . . just attend, learn, and leave with a jar of freshly preserved jam. OSU Extension Family and Consumer Sciences Educator Shannon Carter will serve as the instructor.
