    Lancaster Greenhouse and Nursery has graciously agreed to host a Fairfield County 4-H Program fundraiser on Saturday May 13th (9 am – 7 pm) and Sunday May 14th – (10 am – 5 pm). They are located at 1281 Granville Pike (Route 37) Lancaster, OH 43130 and are across he street from the entrance to Lancaster High School.

    The GAPs class is an educational course that covers good agricultural practices which help reduce the risk of on-farm produce contamination. The topics that are covered include water quality, worker training in hygiene & health, manure & compost handling, domestic & wild animals, and much more. Attending this OSU GAPs class does not equate to being 'GAPs Certified' but the process for certification will also be discussed.

    Come and join the Fairfield County Fashion and Nutrition Board for their day of community service.  Our goal is to make 175 dresses for the "Dress A Girl Around the World" program.  All Fairfield County sewing and quilting project members are invited to attend this event.  Please bring your labeled scissors or pinking shears and your own sewing machine if you'd like.  The group is also seeking donations of 1-2 yards of pre-washed cotton fabric, 1/2" elastic, double fold bias tape and embellishments for the pockets.
