  1. Dress A Girl Around the World - Fashion and Nutrition Board Community Service Day

    Come and join the Fairfield County Fashion and Nutrition Board for their day of community service.  Our goal is to make 175 dresses for the "Dress A Girl Around the World" program.  All Fairfield County sewing and quilting project members are invited to attend this event.  Please bring your labeled scissors or pinking shears and your own sewing machine if you'd like.  The group is also seeking donations of 1-2 yards of pre-washed cotton fabric, 1/2" elastic, double fold bias tape and embellishments for the pockets. 

  2. Master Gardener Training Begins

    If giving back to your community thru gardening related projects interests you, why not consider becoming a trained OSU Extension Fairfield County Master Gardener Volunteer. Trainees will have the opportunity to attend 8 days of training in all aspects of garden related topics, including soils, botany, entomology, fruits, vegetables and much more. The classes will be held on Thursdays beginning on March 23 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and continue weekly through May 11, 2017.

  3. Market Steer/Heifer Weigh-in

    Anyone planning to show a market steer or market heifer in the 2017 Fairfield County Junior Beef Show must have their animals weighed in, tagged, and nose printed this day.

  8. Agronomy Day, including Agricultural Fertilizer Certification

    During this annual Fairfield County Agronomy Day, those who attend will also receive their Agricultural Fertilizer Certification. The entire program including lunch is free compliments of the sponsors - Crop Production Services in Thurston and the Ohio Soybean Council - but reservations are required!

    Have eaten just one too many Christmas Cookies? Or are you wishing the weather was warmer so you could just putter around a bit in the garden? If so and you're feeling much like the rest of us, come and join us at the first edition of the 2017 Lunch and Learn Series on Thursday, January 19 at 11:30 am. Master Gardener, Chris Audette will help us with some Yoga-Style gardening stretches to get us ready to garden in 2017. This will be very low-impact but hopefully will give you some tips and pointers to get up and get going after looking thru all of those seed catalogs!!
