  2. Grill Smart; Hands-on Learning the Science of Great Grilling

    Ever wondered what actually happened and why, when sometimes that great looking piece of meat comes off your grill and it's perfect, but, other times it's just not so good? If so, this 4 hour, hands-on class is for you! During this class you will learn why some cuts of meat are better than others for grilling, and the best ways to optimize the eating experience by gaining an understanding of proper heat control and timing. Participants will gain hands on experience on both charcoal and gas grills.

    The new Farm Bill has been signed into law, however, administrative details are still being worked out. Regardless, if you farm or are involved in agriculture, this piece of legislature will have a huge impact on your bottom line over at least the next five years.

    Fairfield County Junior Leaders Presents JAS’s Easter EggExtravaganza! Open to 4-H Cloverbuds and family members ages 8 and under Please join the Fairfield County Junior Leaders for an Easter Egg Hunt in honor of Jane A. Sharp.  Jane served as a Fairfield County 4-H Advisor for 24 years. There will be an Easter Egg Hunt, Face Painting, Crafts, Door Prizes & Bunnies!!

    Join Us March 2nd for 4-H Day! Have you or your child ever thought about joining 4-H but are unsure what it’s all about? 4-H is a non-formal educational, youth development program offered to individuals age 5 and in kindergarten to age 19. Kids “learn by doing” through hands-on activities.

    FAMILY FUN DAY - SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 23 – 12:30-2:30 PM  FREE TO EVERYONE! – PLEASE REGISTER AT 654-0616  February is American Heart Month, and Saturday February 23rd is Family Fun Day.  Bring the family and “FEEL THE BEAT” and get moving towards a heart healthy family.  OSU- Extension will be on hand with fun family activities such as relay races, The Blender Bike, parachute games and more. Everything is FREE, bring your friends and “Feel The Beat”.
