    The 2020 edition of the Overholt Drainage School will be hosted in the Fairfield County Ag Center on March 9th through March 12th.

    Hold the date! The 32nd Fairfield County Cattleman’s Association banquet and annual meeting will be held Saturday, February 29 in the Fairfield County Ag Center beginning at 6 p.m.

  3. Feb. 19, 2020 8:30am to 11:30am

    BASF representative Betsy Cremeans will join us to conduct a Dicamba Certification Training for dicamba tolerant crops. This will be followed by the opportunity to review the Farm Bill, and specifically go over the ARC/PLC choices.

  4. Jan. 30, 2020 6:00pm to 9:00pm

    The Ohio Beef Cattle Nutrition and Management School is set to be held in 2 locations, with 2 sessions at each locale. Fairfield County cattlemen will find the sessions held from 6 p.m – 9:00 p.m., on January 30th and February 13th at the OSU Newark Campus to be most convenient.

  5. Jan. 30, 2020 10:00am to 2:00pm

    The Ohio State University Extension Beef Team has planned a hands-on, Ohio Beef Cow/Calf workshop at the Claylick Run Farm Sale Facility outside of Newark, in Licking County. This workshop will be held from 10 a.m – 2:00 p.m., including lunch, with 2 different sessions, held on January 30th and February 13th.

  6. Jan. 15, 2020 6:30pm to 8:30pm

    As you know, enrollment in the “Farm Program” . . . aka, your ARC/PLC election . . . has begun and continues through March 15, 2020. Similar to the 2014 Farm Bill, producers have the same three options for federal commodity programs: Agricultural Risk Coverage and Price Loss Coverage. Agricultural Risk Coverage is again divided up into a county and individual option for the 2018 Farm Bill.

  7. Jan. 09, 2020 1:30pm to 4:30pm

    During this session, recertification in all Private Pesticide Applicator categories will be offered.

  8. Jan. 09, 2020 12:30pm to 1:30pm

    This will be the first of two opportunities this year in Fairfield County to acquire Fertilizer REcertification.

    Learn more about teen opportunities with 4-H!  It all starts with keeping great records of your 4-H accomplishments!  Younger 4-H youth (ages 9-13 as of 1/1/2020) are encouraged to start completing your Junior Achievement Form. Junior Achievement Awards will be awarded in April 2020!
