  1. 2022 Local Foods Farm Tour Series

    Join OSU Extension-Fairfield County for the return of the Local Foods Farm Tour Series. Our last location will be Ochs Fruit Farm, 2161 Pleasantville Rd, Lancaster. On Thursday, September 28th at 5:30 p.m. Visit one of Fairfield County’s oldest agricultural operations, featuring over 90 varieties of apples, as well as apple cider and a selection of pumpkins, gourds and squash.

  5. 2022 Local Foods Farm Tour Series

    Join OSU Extension-Fairfield County for the return of the Local Foods Farm Tour Series. Our fourth location will be Brandt Family Farm Grain & Milling and Walnut Creek Seeds, 6100 Basil Western Rd, Carroll. On Thursday, August 25th at 6:00 p.m. Brandt Family Farms uses regenerative practices to improve soil health and increase nutrient value of heritage grains. They also clean and mill their own grains on farm.

    Join OSU Extension-Fairfield County for the return of the Local Foods Farm Tour Series. Our third location will be Rockside Winery & Vineyards 2363 Lanc-Newark Rd NE, Lancaster. On Thursday, August 18th at 6:00 p.m. Stroll the vineyard to learn more about the growing techniques and grape varieties produced by Rockside Winery & Vineyards. The tasting room will be open following the tour.

    Are you planning to preserve summer produce?  Join us for any or all of the following preserving programs presented by Shannon Carter, Family and Consumer Sciences Educator and Sandy Bohl, Instructor, with Ohio State University Extension Fairfield County. Classes will be offered in person at both the Wagnalls Memorial Library and Fairfield County District Library – Main  Branch.
