    Join OSU Extension - Fairfield County as we pay tribute to local agriculture! Wednesday, August 9 | 6pm | The Green Machine, 148 Union St, Lancaster | Garden Party Visit an urban edible garden, presented by The Green Machine at Learning Never Ends. Explore how raised beds can be used to grow a bounty of produce and discover the important role this project plays in community development.

    Are you planning to preserve summer produce?  Join us for any or all of the following preserving programs presented by Shannon Carter, Family and Consumer Sciences Educator and Sandy Bohl, Instructor, with Ohio State University Extension Fairfield County. Classes will be offered in person at both Keller Market House and the Pickerington Library-Sycamore Plaza. There is no cost for attendance, but registration is requested to reserve your space. Tuesday, August 8 | 6pm | Fairfield County Fairgrounds, 157 E Fair Ave, Lancaster | Ohio Beef at the Fairgrounds From grilling techniques to tips on using lesser-known cuts of meat, join the OSU Beef Team for a night dedicated to local proteins. A $5 registration fee includes samples and a meat thermometer. Sponsored by The Ohio Beef Council and the Fairfield County Cattlemen’s Association.

Monday, August 7 | 6pm | Clearcreek Country Vineyards, 9214 Westfall Rd, Amanda | Clearcreek Country Vineyards Tour Kick off the week by strolling through Clearcreek Country Vineyards to learn about growing techniques and grape varieties. Enjoy a complimentary cupcake from a local bakery! The tasting room will be open following the tour.

    Get an early start on your Christmas shopping and consider donating a toy to our Firefighters for Kids Toy Drive!  Over 130 vendors in 3 buildings...lunch items, SANTA, crafts for kids, face painting and much, much more!  Sponsored by the Fairfield County 4-H Advisory Committee.
