Are you a senior who is concerned about falling? Statistics show that falls are the leading cause of fatal injury and the most common cause of non-fatal, trauma-related hospital admissions among older adults. Don’t become a statistic – learn how to prevent and manage falls.
Meals on Wheels of Fairfield County and Ohio State University Extension will present A Matter of Balance, an award-winning program designed to manage falls and increase activity levels. This eight-week program will help participants to improve balance, strength, and flexibility, thus reducing the risk of falls. Participants will learn to maintain their independence and improve their health with this life-changing program!
Classes are free, and will be offered Wednesdays from 1-3 p.m. at Olivedale Senior Center starting May 2 and run through June 20th.
To register, call Chris Sulick at Meals on Wheels, 740-681-5050. Space is limited, so please call by April 20!
