If giving back to your community thru gardening related projects interests you, why not consider becoming a trained OSU Extension Fairfield County Master Gardener Volunteer.

Trainees will have the opportunity to attend 8 days of training in all aspects of garden related topics, including soils, botany, entomology, fruits, vegetables and much more. The classes will be held on Thursdays beginning on March 26 from 9:00 am until 4:00 pm and continue thru May 14, 2015.

Cost for the program will be $120.00 which includes the training manual. If you would like to learn more about becoming a Master Gardener Volunteer, please plan on attending the informational meeting scheduled for Thursday, February 26 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Fairfield County Ag Center, 831 College Avenue Lancaster.

Once trainees complete the required training classes, 50 hours of volunteer service in the community is required to be given back to the program. Please join us on February 26 and we will try to answer any questions you may have. Reservations are not needed.
