The GAPs class is an educational course that covers good agricultural practices which help reduce the risk of on-farm produce contamination. The topics that are covered include water quality, worker training in hygiene & health, manure & compost handling, domestic & wild animals, and much more. Attending this OSU GAPs class does not equate to being 'GAPs Certified' but the process for certification will also be discussed.
Cost for this class is $20 per household or farm operation. One registration form is requested per farm or household and pre-registration is requested by May 1, although registration will also be available at the door.
