There are many Christmas tree farms in the Fairfield County area. This makes a great family outing. It not only provides a day in the country, fragrant trees, and fresh air, but many growers provide hayrides to and from the fields, refreshments and other attractions. And it is hard to beat the freshness of a tree that is cut, taken home, and decorated--all without leaving the Fairfield County area.
