Club Biographies in Fairfield County! 


Fairfield County is now accepting new members enrollment brochures! The  list below is meant to be utilized as a resource or consideration for 4-H enrollment.  If you are interested in joining 4-H, contact one of the clubs below, fill out an enrollment brochure or contact Sue with the child's name, address, and phone number!  Keep an eye for awareness teams to visit the schools around the county!   Clubs will be organizing in March/April.

4 Creation 4-Hers-All projects are offered except beef, horses, and llamas.  Meetings held between the Amanda and Lancaster areas on dates to be determined.  Not currently taking new members.  Contact the Extension Office.

4-Ever 4-Hers-Offers one-on-one attention for sewing & cake decorating projects; domestic & small animal projects preferred.  Larger livestock projects accepted only if family can provide all support.-Meetings held in Lancaster (North Columbus Street) on Mondays, 7-8:30.  Most members are from St. Mary's or St. Bernadette Schools.  Contact Milea Quaintance-740-689-3288. 

4-Legged Friends-Any project may be taken-Meetings held at the Presbyterian Church in Amanda on Sundays at 4 p.m. (If the weather is nice, meetings are held at a park)-Contact Cindy Gilfillen-(c)-740-590-8845, (w)-614-722-3296. 

A C Animals-Animal projects only-Meetings held in Amanda/Stoustville on Sundays in the late afternoon.  Contact the Extension Office. 

A-C Extreme 4-Hers-Projects offered include everything except horses.  Meetings are held in Amanda on Sunday's at 6:00 p.m.  Contact Theresa Pinkstock-740-969-1103.  Not currently taking new members. 

All Creatures, Great & Small-Rabbits, small animals, and still projects are offered.  This club would like all members to take a rabbit or small animal project.   Meetings are held in the Lancaster/Amanda area on a date/time to be determined.  Contact Ellen Shaw-740-969-4217.

All the King's Horses-Horse Club (although there are no stipulation on projects, equine projects are the focus).  This club practices Christian leadership & principles.  Horses are available to use for projects.  Meetings are held in Lancaster & Thornville the first Tuesday of every month beginning in March at 7:00 p.m. Contact Ronda Whitehouse-740-536-9176. 

Amanda Work & Win-Livestock & Misc. projects carried.  Meetings are held at the advisor & members homes on various dates & times (depends on club members).  Members muist attend a particular number of meetings & pay dues.  Contact Barb Lamp-740-969-4616.

Baltimore Blue Ribbons-Projects offered include small animals, cooking, swine, and miscellanious.  Meetings are held in the Baltimore area on Monday nights at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Julia Miller-Groves-(home) 740-862-0246, (cell) 614-425-2771.

Blazin' Buckeyes-Projects offered include sheep and cattle.  Large animal projects are preferred, but will accept any member/project.  Meetings are held near Sugar Grove on Sunday evenings.  Members are all Berne Union students.  Contact Kristi Miller-740-746-8509. 

Blazing Saddles-Horse projects offered.  Meetings are held in Lancaster the 1st Tuesday of the Monday at 6:30 p.m. and on Mondays at the Fairgrounds 1-2 times a month.  Contact the Extension Office. 

Bloom Bits & Pieces-Projects vary, but there are no large animal projects.  One group project is taken each year (determined by members & advisors).  Meetings are held in Bloom Township.  Dates & times vary.  No new members being accepted.  Contact the Extension Office.   

Blue Ribbon Showmen-Carry all livestock--large and small animal--projects (no horses).  Some take extra projects (cooking, sewing, vet science, dogs, etc.).  Require members to take a large animal project.  Meetings held at member's homes west of Lancaster & Amanda area on Sundays at 6:30-7:00 p.m.  Contact Kris Doyle-(h)-740-654-0665, (w)-614-837-9665. 

Bremen Best Friends-A variety of projects are offered, but no steers, horses, or sheep.  Meetings are held in the Bremen area--Fire house & homes of members on Sundays at 6 or 6:30.  Most members are from the Bremen and Rushville area--Family involvement is welcomed!  Contact Lori & Alan Collins-740-536-7565 or Dorene Guseman-740-569-7326. 

Bremen Proud Showmen-All projects offered, but it's encouraged for members to have at least one large animal project.  Meetings are held in the Bremen area on Monday evenings.  Contact Phil Miller-740-569-7108. 

Carroll Country 4-Hers-Projects offered include all home ec, small & large animals (lots of rabbits!).  Members should attend meetings and participate!  Meetings are held in Carroll at Shalom United Methodist Church on Mondays/Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Linda Landis-740-687-1939 or Barb Salyers-740-756-7258. . 

Carroll Critters & Creations 4-H-All projects offered, large farm animals considered with parent/guardian oversight and responsibility.  Meetings are held in the Carroll area (location TBA) on Sundays in the early evening hours.  For more information contact June Queen-740-756-7084.  Number of members will be limited to approximately 10 this year. 

Champions-Projects offered include livestock and misc. proojects.  Members should take at least one livestock project and then may also take a misc. project.  Meetings are held in the Lancaster area-usually Hopewell Church Road on Sunday's at 6:00 p.m. This is a family oriented club--also has a Cloverbud group (Little Champions) that meets at the same time.  Contact Pam Meadows-740-653-5205 or James & Sandy Uhl-740-687-1204. 

Classic Equines-Horse projects are offered; members must take a horse project.  Meetings are held in Baltimore.  Not currently taking any members.  Contact Elizabeth Squibb-740-862-0506 or Amie Rowland-740-862-4251. 

Clearcreek Showmen-Club offers all projects.  Meetings are held in Oakland mostly on Monday's from 6-7 p.m. Contact Mark Sharp-740-969-3360. 

Clover Clan-Projects vary as long as parent/guardian agrees to responsibility.  Club provides support or finds outside resources.  Meetings are held at Ziegler Emmanuel Luthern Church on Tscopp Road on Sundays from 5-7p.m.  Contact Brenda Hite-740-468-3265. 

Clover Kids-All projects are offered, but the members tend to select non-livestock projects.  Advisor would like to see more livestock projects being taken.  Meetings are held the 3rd Teusday of the month at the Route 22/33 Bypass area.  Contact Jason Robinson-740-808-1136, Erin Robinson-740-503-6179, or Carrie Snoke-740-503-4838. 

Cloverleaf Livestock-All projects are offered.  Meetings are held in the Baltmore area in member's homes.  Contact Walter Bader-740-862-4659. 

Country Bumpkin Kids-All projects are offered. Meetings are held in the Rushville area on Tuesdays or Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Susan Foltz-740-569-7610 or Lisa Langley-614-348-1381. 

Dynamic Dogs-Dog projects are offered.  Meetings are held in the Pickerington vicinity Monday evenings at 6:00 p.m.  Contact Debbie Billingham-614-286-0180 or Tiffany Williamson-614-746-7554. 

Elite Riders & Co-Members must carry a horse project (horseless horse or other).  Other animal projects are also offered.  Meetings are held in the Lancaster vicinity Thursdays at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Lisa Wemer-740-468-3619. 

Fairfield Cavy & Rabbit-Projects offered include rabbits, cavies, nutrition and still projects.  Meetings are in the Lancaster area the 2nd and 4th Monday at 7:00 p.m. Contact Amy Zelma-740-654-3262, 740-215-2485 or Carrie Evans-740-380-0185. 

Fairfield Dairy Pros-All projects are offered, but focus on dairy.  Members must partiipate in either the state dairy judging contest.  Meetings are held all over Fairfield County on a few week nights and Sunday afternoons.  Any member is welcome to attend educational meetings if they are interested in learning more about dairy.  Contact Sarah Wagner-740-243-2285 or Lee Kohler-740-756-4533. 

Fairfield County Tractor Maintenance-Projects offered are small engines & tractor (farm size) maintenance.  Meetings are held January-March every Tuesday at 7:00 p.m.  Contact George Ruble-740-654-2464, Roger Ruble-740-808-4502, Kim Root-614-228-5550, Rick Goodman-740-215-5814, Ben Turley-614-309-1333, or Bill McWhorter-614-562-7186. 

Fairfield Creations-All projects but livestock or horses are offered (including pocket pets, art, clothing, etc.).  Meetings are held on the east side of Lancaster every other Monday from 6-7 p.m. March through October.  Contact Debbie or Doug Allen-740-654-8218.

Fairfield 4-H Farm Projects-All projects offered, but main projects are livestock.  Meetings are held in the Rushville area on Wednesday at 6:30 p.m.  Contact Brenda Nieser-740-536-7204 or 740-808-7695.

Fairfield Fowl Frirends-All projects offered, but members must be on the county poultry judging team.  Meetings are held South of Lithopolis on Sunday at 2:00 p.m.  Contact Jeff or Loretta Sweeney-614-834-1516.   

Falcon 4-Hers-Projects preferred are beef, sheep, hogs, and goats.  Meetings are held at the Rushville Lions Club Building, time up to the members.  Contact Jim & Deb Bope-740-536-7790. 

Fancy Feathers-Projects offered are poultry related.  Members must show fancy poultry, ducks, etc.  Meetings are held in the Lancaster area on the first Tuesday of the month at 5:00 p.m.  Contact Pamela Rhodeback-614-778-9737. 

Friends & Family 4-H-All projects are offered.  Meetings are held in the Amanda area on Mondays from 7-8 p.m.  Contact Tricia Colburn-740-969-2015. 

Golden Spurs-Horse oriented club.  Meetings are held in the Bremen/Lancaster area.  During school meetings are Tuesday nights approximately every 2 weeks.  In June, July, and August, workshops are offered the first three Tuesdays of each month, and the fourth Tuesday is a business meeting.  Contact the Extension Office. 

Green Acres-Projects offered are mainly animals, but are open to anything.  Meetings are held in the Lancaster & Baltimore area on Saturdays & Sundays; time varies.  Contact Cathy Smith-740-862-6820, Katie Cupp-740-654-3854, Marcy Love-740-862-6222, or Jackie Holbrook-740-862-8694. 

H&S-Projects offered are beef cattle related only.  Meetings are held in the Pleasantville area on the 3rd Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Brian & Jamie Neel-740-536-7958. 

Happy "Goat" Lucky-Projects offered include goats, hogs, rabbits, and cats.  Any miscellaneous project may be taken, but advisors will assist only with the information they need and the dates of judging (advisors do not sew).  Meetings are held at the Advisors home or a local park in Rushville, sometimes Bremen.  Contact Cathy Lones-740-536-7604 or Lisa Ruff-740-536-7728.. 

Happy Homemakers-All projects are offered, specifically chickens, goats, hogs, writing, cooking.  Members must complete their project and go to judging.  Meetings are held in Amanda Wednesdays at 6:00 p.m.  Contact Wanda Stover-740-969-2483, Beth Hicks-740-687-1823, or Eric Valentine-614-206-3043. 

Hobbies & Hares-Projects offered include rabbits, small animals, and still projects (prefer no large animals).  Meetings are held between Amanda and Stoutsville on weekday adn one weekend day each month.  Contact Keesha Dobbie-740-474-9343 or Brian & Cheryl Rhodes-740-969-1426. 

Hocking Valley Hustlers-Projects offered include lambs, chickens, market steers, rabbits, feeder calves, small animals, and miscellaneous (advisors are willing to help with any project).  Meetings are held in the Lancaster/Sugar Grove area on Sunday evenings.  After school is out, meetings are moved to whatever day works for members and parents.  This is one of the oldest clubs in Fairfield County and need younger members to keep the club going!  The club wnats to increase 4-H membership and awareness throughout the county.  Contact James Spires-740-653-2362, (cell) 740-503-4625. 

Hoppin Hares-Rabbit projects are offered.  Meetings are held in the Baltimore area.  Not currently taking new members.  Contact the Extenesion Office. 

Horses Unlimited-Horse projects are offered.  If a member has a horse and is interested in something else, the advisors help accommodate them.  Meetings are held in the Lancaster area on Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m.  Club does not usually lease horses.  No members being accepted at this time.  Contact Jennifer Bennett-740-536-9521. 

Just Kiddin'-All projects offered, but members MUST take a small animal or livestock project, but they may also take projects in other areas.  (Specializes in small animal projects--goats, poultry, dogs, rabbits, etc.)  All members are asked to give a short talk/demonstration on a topic of their choosing.  Club has an annual club picnic, 4th of July parade, community service, and other activities.  Meetings are held in Sugar Grove Saturday mornings frm 10-11:30 during the school year and week nights during the summer months.   Contact Kathy Slykerman-740-681-9255, Cheryl & Paul Wymer-740-746-9367 (Rabbits, Poultry, Cooking, Goats), Tina Milenovic-740-468-9375 (Sewing, Cooking, Environmental, Public Speaking), Sharon Shaw-740-746-8602 (Dogs, Public Speaking, Cooking, Sewing), or Kim McCrady-740-746-9182 (Pygmy Goats, Cooking). 

K-9 Krazy-Projects focused on are dogs only.  Meetings are held in the Baltimore area Mondays at 7:00 p.m. Some kids go to Licking County Schools.  Contact Lisa Turner-740-862-3386.   

KKEZ-All projects are offered, except horses.  Meetings are held in the Pickerington/Baltimore area on Sundays.  Contact Greg Coulter-740-862-8395. 

Learning All the Time-All projects are offered except livestock and horse.  This club meets at various times in Carroll, Canal Winchester, and Lancaster areas.  Contact Debbie Thompson-614-834-8264. 

Liberty Leaders-Projects offered include swine, beef, goats, sweing, nutrition, and photography.  (Pocket pets, dogs, and rabbits are not offered.)  Meetings are held in the Blatimore area Sunday evenings.  Contact Anne or Brooke Keller-740-862-8069 

Lithopolis Livestock-All projects are offered except horses.  Meetings are held in the Lithopolis/Canal Winchester area on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.  Contact the Extension Office. 

Lucky Lakers-All projects offered.  Meetings are held in the Millersport area on Tuesdays at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Lance Alley-740-407-7350. 

L.U. Happy Farmers-Projects offered are anything of interest to members.  Meetings are held in Baltimore on Sundays at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Ron Packard-740-862-4464, John Hablitzel-740-862-8732, Betsy Packard Loy-740-654-4783, Angela Packard Kerns-740-654-2588. 

Paws Up-Club offers dog projects.  Meetings are held at the Fairgrounds in Lancaster on Thursdays from 6:30-8:00 p.m.  Contact Karessa Sheets-740-438-9405 or Julie McCrady-740-536-7009. 

Pickerington Clovers-Clus is willing to take all projects (including some large animals if the members have space for them).  The club will take a group project (will be determined later) in 2008.  Meetings are held in Pickerington area parks.  Contact Missy Koenig-614-833-0155, (c)614-314-0238, (w)-614-424-3136 or Laura Wall (h) 614-837-0299. . 

Pleasantville Ag-All projects offered exept horses, cattle, and dogs.  Meetings are held in the Rushville vicinity 2 times montly on Mondays at 6:00 p.m. Contact Mona Yerian-740-743-1788. 

Pride Riders-Projects offered are mainly horse projects.  Meetings are held in the Lancaster/Sugar Grove area on Wednesdays at 5:00 or 6:00p.m.  Contact Helen Moore-740-746-9472, 740-438-0530.  New members welcome in 2008! 

Rough Riders-Horse projects are required, but all projects may go along with it.  Meetings are held in Baltimore on Sundays at 5 p.m.  Not currently taking members.  Contact the Extension Office. 

Scissors and Spice-Family & Consumer Science & miscellaneous projects are offered (no large animals).  Will be working more with nutrition projects in 2008.  Meetings are held in the Pleasantville area on Sunday afternoons (some week days in the summer).  Not currently taking new members.  Contact Diane Sommers-740-468-7404. 

Sewing Shefs-All projects are offered except dogs and large animals.  Meetings are held in the Oakland area at various dates and times.  Contact Judy Sims-740-969-2225. 

Sew Whats-Projects offered are rockets, small animals, and all general projects.  Meetings are held in Bremen on Friday's at 6:00 p.m. (Club tries to work with members and figure out a good day and time for everyone.)  Members vote on one project that they would like to work on at each meeting.  The members are not required to take the voted on project, but it is strongly recommended.  Last year, the club took electricity.  The club has several boys.  Usually the group projects are projects both boys and girls like.  Contact Cathy & Jeff Benson-614-836-2127. 

Shooting Sports-Projects offered include shotgun (meetings at Airport Gun Club, Lancaster), Rifle (meetings at Ohio Valley & Lancaster Pistol Rifle Club), Pistol (meetings at Ohio Valley & Lancaster Pistol Rifle Club), and Archery (meetings held at Fairfield Outdoors).  Meeting dates and times vary throughout the year.  Shooting is not cheap--it does cost to join each discipline.  There is instruction time in addition to shooting time at meetings.  Contact Dawn Miller-740-475-8140. 

Shooting Stars-Offer all  projects except large animals).  Meetings are held in Lancaster on Tuesdays from 7-8:30 p.m.  Contact Sue Suttles-740-689-9270. 

Special Projects-All projects are offered, except horses.  Meetings are held in the Amanda/Lancaster area on Sunday evenings.  Contact Gail & Jim Ellinger-740-969-2005. 

Stitch-N-Chefs-Projects offered inlude Clothing, Food/Nutrition, Healthy, Family Life, and Consumer Management.  Meetings are held in the Baltimore area on weeknights.  Contact Deetra Mattox-740-862-8215. 

This-N-That-Projects offered include cake decorating, rockets, and photography.  (There are not any advisors for animal projects.)  Meetings are held in the Lancaster area on Wednesday's at 7:00 p.m  Contact the Extension Office. 

Thurston Flying Fingers-Projects offered focus on nutrition, clothing, and demonstrations.  (Anything is offered except large animals.)  Meetings are held at Faith Lutheran Church in Baltimore.  Dates and times depend on member's needs.  The club sews together at the church as soon as school is out unti judging.  Contact Kay WIlliamson-740-862-6693, (c) 740-407-7554.

Town & Country-Projects offered includ miscellaneous and small animals.  No large animal projects.  Meetings are held in the Pickerington/Carroll area on Sundays from 2-4 p.m.  Tours, field trips, and community service projects are scheduled during the summer.  Not currently taking new members.  Contact Karen Dannemiller-614-833-6197. 

Udder Joy-Projects offered are mainly market & dairy goats, horses, feeder calves, rabbits, and sheep.  Meetings are held in the Lancaster/Amanda area on Sundays at 4:00 p.m.  It is an established club, smaller in size.  Contact Hart & Lisa VanHorn-740-569-9313. 

US Kids-Beef, sheep, and swine projects are offered.  Members must take large animals.  Meetings are held in the Baltimore area on Sundays at 7:00 p.m. Contact the Extension Office. 

Wild About Animals-Projects taken mainly are steers, hogs, lambs, turkeys, and pygmy goats.  Members must take a large animal project.  Meetings are held at members homes in the Carroll area Sunday nights at 6:00 p.m.  Contact Lisa Jensen-740-756-4165. 

W.I.L.D.S.-Projects offered include everything except large animals.  Meetings are held in the Pickerington area from 2:30-4 p.m..  Contact Jennie Gambill-750-654-7149. 

Cloverbud Groups A-Z (Youth age 5 and in Kindergarten until 8 and in 3rd grade)

4-Creation Cloverbuds-Meetings held in Lancaster/Amanda & at dates and times to be determined.  This club is limited to (mostly) siblings of the 4-Creation 4-Hers club.  Contact the Extension Office. 

4-Legged Pals-Meetings are held in Amanda on Sundays at 3:00 p.m.  The club is connected to the 4-Legged Friends 4-H Club; youth can move into this club once they are old enough.  Contact Vanessa Butterbaugh-740-969-8222. 

Cloverbud Buddies-Meetings are held in the Rushville area on Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m.  Contact Kelly Justice-740-536-7608. 

Explorers-Meetings are held in Lancaster the 3rd Wednesday a month at 2:45 during school/3rd Sunday a month at 4:00 during the summer.  Projects are geared toward outside activities and the environment.  Not currently taking new members.  Contact Jodie Borchers-740-689-3454 or Justine Feinstein-740-681-1603. 

Just Kiddin' Cloverbuds-Meetings are held at Sugar Grove United Methodist Church in the evenings during the summer months and Saturday mornings during school months.  Contact Kimberly McCrady-740-746-9182. 

Little Champions-Meetings are held on Hopewell Church Road (Lancster) on Sundays at 6:00 p.m. Contact Julie Wymer-740-969-3005. 

Little Creek Cloverbuds-Meetings are held in the Oakland vicinity the 2nd and 4th week of the month at 7:00 p.m.  Contact Mark or Jane Sharp-740-969-3360. 

Nature Rangers-Meetings are held in the Pickerington area from 1-2:30 p.m..  Group does activities involving flag/country, physical disabilities, seeds, healthy foods, bubbles, pollution, & art exhibition.  At this time the group is full, but call to make sure.  Contact Jennie Gambill-740-654-7149.   

Pickerington Cloverbuds-Meetings are held in Pickerington area parks (weather permitting).  Contact Missy Koenig-614-833-0155 (home), 614-424-3136 (work), or 614-314-0238 (cell) or Laura Wall-614-837-0299 (home).  . 

Rough Riders Cloverbuds-Meetings are held in Baltimore on Sundays at 4:00 p.m.  Members learn about all kinds of 4-H activities, but the main focus is safety around horses and learning about horses.  Preference is given to future horse club members.  Contact Extension Office. 

Sewing Shefs Cloverbud-Meetings are held in Tarlton or Amanda on Wednesday or Thursday evenings.  Contact Judy Sims at 740-969-2225. 

Sew Whats Cloverbuds-Meetings are held at Rising Park in late afternoons.  Contact Sharon Britch-740-689-0335.
